The Metropolitan Police sought public support to trace a ten-year-old Indian girl,Aishley Kapoor and her 38-year-old aunt last seen here on April 24 this year. Aishley was born in India and was under the care of her aunt Seema Kapoor as her father had a transferable job. In 2007,she was taken to UK by her aunt from India against her parents' will and in contravention of an Indian court order. Since April 24,2009,Aishley and her aunt,who claims she has adopted Aishley,are missing after a court here ordered her return to India. Detective Inspector Sharon Brookes,of the Child Abuse Investigation Team,said,"I have no doubt that Aishley is loved by her aunt,but she is also loved by her mother and father. "The fact Aishley has been taken half way round the world away from them,without their consent or the consent of the Indian courts,has left them devastated." He added that since April the 10 year-old does not appear to have had any schooling or access to a doctor. "I appeal to anyone who knows where Seema and Aishley are to contact police," Brookes added. Aishley's parents had applied to the English High Court on November 26,2008 for her location and return. The High Court decided on April 3,2009 that Aishley should be returned to India for the court there to determine her future residence.
