CHANDIGARH, Oct 19: With winter vegetables flooding the market, the prices of seasonal vegetables have come down in the city. However, vegetable "accessories" like ginger and garlic and coriander continue to be priced high.Peas are available at a high of Rs 40 in the retail market, much the same price as nearly a week back, while ginger has registered a hike in prices. While the new crop was earlier available for a low of Rs 20 per kg, the prices have climbed up to Rs 40 per kg. Garlic prices are still perched at a high of Rs 40 per kg.Tomatoes are available at Rs 10 per kg in the retail market, while the rates in the Sector 26 market are at Rs 5 per kg. Capsicum is still at a high of Rs 28, while brinjal is available at a low of Rs 12 per kg.The prices of onions have gone up from Rs 10 per kg to Rs 15 per kg. However, in the Sector 26 market, it is available for Rs 12 per kg. Pahari potatoes are priced at Rs 10 per kg, while ladyfinger is rated Rs 20 per kg. Cauliflower has flooded the market with rates dipping to a low of Rs 10 per kg in the wholesale market and Rs 15 per kg in the retail market.
