CHANDIGARH, April 21: The poor upkeep of civic amenities and infrastructure in the Industrial Area has been condemned by Chandigarh Congress secretary Sandeep Singh. In a statement issued here today, Singh said the Industrial Area, which was a major source of income for the city through taxes, was being ignored by the Municipal Corporation.

He alleged there was no proper water supply in the Industrial Area for the past week and the roads had large pits in them and the absence of adequate street lighting led to frequent accidents in the area. He has called for early redressal of the problems in the area.
