CHENNAI, January 17: The increasing incidents of crime in Anna Nagar, a sprawling residential area in Chennai, has prompted the police to seek the help of volunteers. Youth aged over 18 years are being recruited for regular night beats. They will be provided special training on identifying strangers. The project will also cover the Choolaimedu, Arumbakkam, Thirumangalam, J J Nagar, Villivakkam, ICF, Rajamangalam, Kolathur and Secretariat Colony areas.
