AMBALA, June 24: Anita Dhiman, who was arrested for impersonating asa high court judge by the Ambala police on Saturday last, was further remanded to the police custody till June 27 by the court here today. Besides, impersonation, she had allegedly cheated several persons of heavy amounts by promising them jobs.

It is learnt that the police high officials may interrogate her for her suspected activities while residing in the Army area where she had allegedly came into contact with military officers and other influential persons.

Two booked for cheating: The Barara police have booked two persons for cheating an unemployed youth from Tandwal village for recruitment in the Air Force and fleeced him of Rs 75,000.

The case was registered against Mam Chand, resident of Haryoli village and A.P. Singh of Babyal road, Ambala Cantonment, on the complaint of Om Prakash, father of the victim.

It was alleged that both had been claiming of their links with the recruiting officials to get the candidates selected. The police started investigation after registering case under sections 420, 468, 471, 506 of the Indian Penal Court.
