Police put out CD of Siwan MP with deer carcass

After former cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, it’s the turn of RJD MP Syed Shahabuddin to be on the wrong side of the wildlife law.

Siwan SP Ratan Sanjay today released to the media a CD showing Shahabuddin, with a gun in his hand along with his gun-toting supporters, celebrating around a deer carcass that had bloodstains. From the picture, it appeared it was winter, as Shahabuddin and others were wearing warm clothes.

The photographs, the police said, were culled from an album seized during raids at Shahabuddin’s ancestral house at Pratappur on April 24. The police had earlier found a deer during a raid at his house following which it lodged an FIR against the MP.

When contacted for comment, Shahabuddin said, “I have nothing to say on the matter.”
