Police plan to make Deepa Singh approver

In a bid to crack the Malti Sharma murder case, police have decided to make Deepa Singh, a co-accused in the case, an approver. At present, Singh is on 14 days judicial remand alongwith the main suspect, Rajkumar Rai, and alleged conspirator, Alka Mishra.

Police sources say by making Singh an approver, they would be able to support the evidences that indicate a conspiracy between Mishra and Rai to eliminate Sharma.

The police already have Singh’s telephone records which suggest that Rai had spoken to her extensively before and after the crime. According to sources, four days before the murder, Rai had also met Singh. A senior police officer told Express that they were preparing to record Rai’s statement once again.
