GURGAON, December 4: Even after a hectic week-long chase, the Gurgaon police are yet to lay their hands on the accused in the Sector-31 shootout. Amit Wahi and his father-in-law Anoop Bhatia were gunned down in the area last Wednesday while they were returning from the market.Initially, family members thought the incident to be a car accident. The recovery of bullets during the post-mortem of the deceased, however, confirmed that the two had been murdered. Anoop's mother Promila Bhatia had alleged that one Ravi Sharma and his son Saurabh had killed the two because of personal enmity.Ravi Sharma and his son had allegedly abducted Anoop's only daughter, Ekta, four years ago when the family lived at Rana Pratap Bagh in New Delhi. Both were arrested. After they were released from jail, the two allegedly threatened the Bhatias on numerous occasions. Ekta, in the meantime, got married to Amit Wahi.Sources said that despite their best efforts the district police have not been able to get hold of Ravi Sharma and Saurabh.
