Carjacker has confessed to other cases: Gurgaon police
An accused in the attempted carjacking case at DLF, Rohtash Singh, who was arrested when the vehicle overturned following a scuffle with the owner last Sunday, has reportedly confessed to being involved in several other incidents of car-snatching in Gurgaon and Delhi. Rohtash, who is a member of a UP-based gang, was involved in these incidents along with Manoj, Kaley, Pappu, Ashok and Sanjay, all of whom are still at large, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Yadav said today. Yadav added that the gang snatched around Rs 1.9 lakh from the priest of a Kalkaji temple about a month ago. The gang was reportedly also involved in robbing a doctor in Kalkaji of Rs 11,000 and snatching Rs 30,000 at Vijau Nagar bypass near Ghaziabad.

One held for attempted abduction
The west district police say they have arrested the person who tried to abduct a Chandni Chowk jeweller on January 13 from Vishal Chowk. The man, identified as Munna, was arrested at Raja Garden on Friday. The police said on Saturday that the accused had been booked under the Arms Act earlier. Munna was allegedly blackmailing jeweller Jagdish Kapoor.
