Pirated video cassettes seizedA vigilance team of the East district police have seized 886 pirated video cassettes from a video cassette shop in Raghubar Pura-II, under the Gandhi Nagar police station. Acting on the complaint of J.P. Sharma of the Motion Pictures Association, the vigilance team conducted a raid at Khan Video Centre, Main Market, Raghubar Pura-II. They seized a total of 886 video cassettes, including prints of some English films, namely Doctor Dolittle, Godzilla, The Saint, Titanic, Mission Impossible and Jungle to Jungle. Two VCRs and four VCPs were also recovered from the shop. The police have arrested the shop-owner, Rashid Khan, and his son, Shakir Khan. A case has been registered against them under the Copy Right Act.Hit-and-run caseA 22-year-old man, Harsh Kumar Sharma, was reportedly knocked down by an unknown vehicle near Bhikaji Cama Place on the Ring Road, yesterday evening. He reportedly succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS later in the night. Sharma was a resident of Purani Mandi, Ferozabad (UP), and was reportedly doing a course in Chartered Accountancy through a firm in Bhikaji Cama.
