Delhi Police today arrested two persons for running a fake education board that they reportedly claimed was parallel to the CBSE.
‘‘The accused were arrested from a branch office of the Board of Adult Education and Training. On checking with the HRD Ministry and CBSE, we found this is a fictitious board,’’ said DCP (East) Nuzhat Hassan.
The board would identify teenagers in different parts of the country, especially those who had failed Class X or XII exams. These students would then be told to pay Rs 3,000, and get a certificate. For those wanting a first division, the fee was higher, police said. ‘‘Their agents would take tuitions of these students,’’ said the DCP. ‘‘They would come to Delhi to give their exam, which was usually held in a private school.’’
