The All Party National Alliance (APNA), an amalgam of political outfits in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Gilgit and Baltistan, has challenged the Pakistan government’s ban on their participation in local elections.

APNA chief Arif Shahid said that it was unfair that Pakistan had been ‘‘choking the voice of genuine Kashmiri political parties’’ who were opposed to the signing of a declaration form in which ‘‘Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan has been termed final’’.
