Intellectuals, writers, students and journalists on Sunday joined hands to hold a rally against US-led attacks on Iraq. They met at Gandhi Park here where anti-war protesters recited poems, sang songs about peace and read stories against war.

JAIPUR: At least 6,000 Muslims thronged the streets in Jaipur assailing the US-led war against Iraq in a rally called by 20 organisations of the minority community.

KOLKATA: Muslim leaders of Kolkata on Sunday declared a jehad against the US. The leaders who addressed a rally here called by the Jamat-e-Ulema-Hind urged Muslims all over the world to unite and fight the United States. They also said Islam was in danger even in India.
