‘PM lost sleep over Haneef but shows no concern for Sadhvi’

The BJP said PM Manmohan Singh was unable to sleep after the arrest of Mohd in Australia in an alleged terror case while he has not shown any concern about the Sadhvi.

.

Sharpening its attack on the UPA government on alleged atrocities by ATS on Malegaon blast accused Pragya Singh Thakur, the BJP said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was unable to sleep after the arrest of Mohd in Australia in an alleged terror case while he has not shown any concern about the Sadhvi.

“The PM turned emotional when Haneef’s family members told him about the problems being faced by the arrested doctor in connection with blasts in Glasgow airport and had said he was unable to sleep. But he prefers to maintain silence on the issue of alleged torture of Sadhvi in ATS custody which is an example of politics of appeasement,” BJP’s vice president M Venkaiah Naidu said.

Naidu, who was in the city to address a public meeting, alleged ATS is being misused by Congress for serving its political motive. No security agency has any right to say ‘contradictory’ things in the matter.

He said at first RSS’ role was put on the scanner in Malegaon blast. Later, it was said that the arrested persons were in contact with the top leaders of RSS on the conspiracy and now attempts are being made to drag the name of VHP leader Pravin Togadia in the controversy.
