CHANDIGARH, July 22: Chandigarh District Congress Committee (Urban) president P. C. Puri has urged the Chandigarh Administration and other state governments to exempt women in general and Sikh women in particular from wearing helmets. He urged the administration to educate women on the issue instead of forcing them to wear them through a law.Meanwhile, Lok Shakti Yuva president Hans Raj Trehan, along with other party office-bearers have also requested the Chandigarh Administration to exempt women from wearing helmets. He said that the challans should be immediately stopped.
