PDS rice diversion : Seven officials suspended

BANGALORE, July 4: Seven members of the Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation have been suspended with effect from July 4, in connection with diversion of rice meant for distribution to the open market. A decision to this effect was taken at the recently held Administrative Board meeting. It is alleged that the officials had diverted some 10,885 qunitals of rice meant for public distribution.
