PUNE, Dec 25: Work at Patheja Forgings, Bhosari will resume from December 29 with the Bombay High Court ordering the removal of seals from the factory. The factory was sealed this Wednesday following the court's earlier order in connection with the case filed by a foreign bank for the recovery of dues from the company.Giving details Gurbinder Singh Patheja, director of the company said that the High Court, in its order on December 13 had appointed a receiver on the property and asked him to take possession of the factory.Following the court's order, when a special squad came to the factory site next day to take its possession and seal the premises, the factory workers strongly resented the move and did not allow to seal the factory. Nearly two thousand workers are employed at the factory. The factory was finally sealed on December 23.``Unless the work continues in the factory, there is remote possibility of us paying back the dues and the workers will have to bear the brunt of this,'' said Patheja.Subsequently company's labour union moved the High Court, which ordered the removal of seals from the factory yesterday, said Patheja. He added that taking into account the weekend and Christmas festival, work at the factory will begin in full swing from Tuesday. It may be noted that the factory had earlier twice faced blackout by the Maharashtra State Electricity Board in one year for payment of dues.Patheja dismissed the reports of his plans to sell the company to Bharat Forge. However, he did not rule out the possibility of constructive partnership. ``At the moment we are testing this possibility. However something concrete can only be said after the judicial proceedings are over,'' he said.
