The five suspects arrested by the CBI in the Haren Pandya murder case will be brought here from Delhi on Monday and produced before a magistrate, police said.
They are Asghar Ali, who CBI sleuths say pulled the trigger on Pandya and his accomplices— Abdul Bakr, Abdul Rauf, Mohammed Iftekar and Mohammed Shafi.
CBI will bring the suspects to Ahmedabad by early morning flight and produce them in court before the metropolitan magistrate for seeking remand, said Deputy Commissioner D.G. Vanjhara on Sunday.
The agent also plans to put them through an identification parade besides taking them to the spot outside Law Garden where Pandya was gunned down, he said.
The five, who were arrested in Hyderabad, were trained by Pakistan’s ISI and are part of a 15-member ‘Muslim Defence Force’, they said. They had also tried to gun down VHP leader Jagdish Tiwari last month at his medical store in Bapunagar, sleuths said.
