A section of shareholders of the beleaguered Premier Automobiles Ltd (PAL) have filed a suit in the Bombay City Civil Court asking for the disqualification of the Doshis as directors on the company board. The petition has also asked for the removal of KS Aiyar & Co as the auditors of the company.

The petition has been filed on behalf of Virendra Shah and Hansa N. Shah by advocate Vinay Rathi.

The petition calls for the court to restrain the implementation of the resolution in the company’s ensuing annual general meeting on August 22 pertaining to the appointment on Arvind Doshi on the board. It also calls for restraining Vinod Doshi (executive chairman), Arvind Doshi (vice-chairman) and Maitreya Doshi (MD) from acting as directors of the company.
