Pakistan government claimed to have sold a Surrey ‘palace’ in Britain, which allegedly belonged to former PM Benazir Bhutto, for 4.3 million pounds.
The sale was effected by a liquidator of a number of Isle of Man trust companies, created to disguise the true identity of the beneficial owners of the property, a government spokesman said in a statement.
But, the building was sold in an auction by a liquidator who was given the authority by the Pakistani government.
The statement said the claim of Pakistani government that the money should go to people of Pakistan was accepted by the liquidator.
