SCARED of losing its core support base in the Bangladeshi settlers in Malkangiri and Nabarnagpur districts, the BJP cautioned the Orissa government today against further deportation of ‘supposed’ infiltrators. The two-day BJP state executive committee meeting which concluded today came down heavily on the government on the issue of deportation of Bangla ‘infiltrators’.Senior leader and MP Anadi Sahu said the action was aimed at the BJP supporters. When pointed out that the exercise has been done by the Revenue department headed by party leader B.B. Harichandan, Sahu shifted the blame to Home under the Chief Minister .Meanwhile, the BJD has its own set of issues to tackle. After voting in favour of the NDA in the Lok Sabha on the Gujarat issue, the party seems worried over losing minority support in the Bhadrak by-poll scheduled on May 31.At a meeting here today, Patnaik reportedly discussed the issue with BJD office-bearers. Bhadrak has a large concentration of minority votes. Most members were reportedly of the view that the BJD should distance itself from the BJP during electioneering .
