Oppn leader says Blair responsible for naming Kelly

The leader of Britain’s main Opposition party today said PM Tony Blair was responsible for the identification of a weapons adviser embroiled in a row over the Iraq war who later apparently committed suicide.

Smith called Blair a liar and described the government’s treatment of weapons adviser David Kelly as the ‘‘Prime Minister’s blackest act’’. ‘‘Tony Blair chaired the meetings that made the fatal decisions. He is responsible. He should do the decent thing and resign,’’ Duncan Smith said. (PTI)
