An angry Opposition said it will appeal against Pakistan Supreme Court's ruling allowing President Pervez Musharraf to seek a second term in uniform, while calling for an intensified public stir against the military ruler.A clearly relieved Pakistan government said the ‘landmark’ judgement will put to rest ‘any ambiguity and questions’ that were being raised regarding the eligibility of Musharraf for contesting the Presidential election and urged all to accept it with dignity."Justice triumphs. The President honours and respects the judgment of the court," a Presidential spokesman said.As soon as the judgment was announced lawyers representatives and opposition party activists shouted slogans against Musharraf and the judges who voted for the dismissal of the petitions. About 100 slogan-shouting protesters threw tomatoes and eggs at the court's front gate."It is a shameful verdict and was sent by the President House," a senior lawyer and member of the Supreme Court Bar Association Ali Ahmed Kurd said after the verdict.Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed who filed the petition against Musharrafm, rejected the verdict and asked the masses to take to the streets. Akram Sheikh, the lawyer for JeI, said he would again approach the court seeking review of Friday's verdict by a full Bench. The Pakistan Muslim League-N headed by exiled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was toppled by the General and again deported on September 10 after he returned to Pakistan from a seven-year exile, said it would intensify its protests against Musharraf's re-election.
