CHANDIGARH, Aug 9: While one person was killed, four others including a five- year-old boy were injured in separate road accidents since last evening.

Ranvir Gupta, a resident of Sector 37, was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle on the road dividing Sectors 37 and 41 at 11 p.m. last night. The injured pedestrian was taken to the PGI, where he later died. The police have registered a case.

Munish Kumar, a resident of Sector 15 in Panchkula was reportedly injured after he was hit by a Haryana Police truck driven by Head Constable Roop Chand at the Poultry Farm roundabout.

Paramjit Singh, a resident of Sector 61, who was on his scooter was reportedly hit by another scooter at 8.30 pm yesterday near Labour Colony in Sector 31. Police sources said that a five-year-old boy, Ajay Kumar, was also injured in the accident.

While, the scooterist allegedly fled leaving his scooter behind, the two injured have been admitted to the GMC Hospital in Sector 32. An unidentified cyclist was reportedly knocked down by a car on the roundabout connecting Sectors 32, 33, 45 and 46, this evening.
