After the success of his solo Lambi Judaai, Pakistani singer Kamran Ahmed is optimistic about his first album, Judaai, releasing soon

And I have been staying away from them in Dubai, since 2001, meeting only occasionally. This song brought back memories of time spent with them. I am glad people understood how I felt,8221; says Ahmed, 26. Fresh from the success of his first single, Pakistani artiste Ahmed, is performing in India for the first time at Elevate, Noida. Ahmed is thankful to Bollywood for putting him in the spotlight. 8220;It is an honour that Bhatt saab Mukesh Bhatt selected my song as one of the tracks for his movie. It has really turned the tide in my favour and I am getting offers from music directors. Even though the song did fairly well in Canada, USA and the UK, nothing compared to the success I received from Bollywood. Appealing to an Indian audience is always much easier,8221; reasons this self taught singer.

His song however, was slightly tweaked to suit the movie, explains Ahmed. 8220;The initial composition did not have a female voice. But in the movie a female voice adds a dynamic undertone with the aalaps. Even the arrangement of the lyrics and timing of the various instruments was slightly customized. Bhatt saab told me, 8216;one should hear the song and get the feeling of being lonely in a crowd8217;.8221; Other singers from Pakistan in the past have complained of being robbed of the credit of creating the music but Ahmed says his first outing in Bollywood has been more than satisfactory. Now Ahmed is busy wrapping up his first album, Judaai, which releases early next year, comprising eight soulful rock ballads. 8220;There is a soft rock track Gin Gin I am excited about. Its video has been shot in Pakistan and will air in a few weeks time. The album maintains my signature sound, fusion of the electric guitar and vocals and has my hit song Lambi Judaai as well,8221; says Ahmed. If given a chance he would love to collaborate with AR Rahman for an album. 8220;I admire his passion for music. Singing with him would be an honour, but first I would like to finish my album,8221; says the self taught singer who picked up the electric guitar at 14, and counts Pakistani band Junoon as among his favourites.
