
Soniya Jain, a Puneite, will be competing aginst 69 countries at Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant in October
After having walked the ramp for designer Nivedita Saboo at the Pune central mall and chosen as the finalist at the NDA Queen Pageant this year, Pune girl Soniya Jain is all set to give her best shot at the Miss Intercontinental pageant held by the World Beauty Organisation WBO, next moth in Zebraze, Poland.
Apart from these Jain has keep interest in adventure sports and acting. She says, 8220;After the Pagent I would be working towards making a mark in Bollywood.8221;
Says the bubbly teenager who loves to munch on burger, chips and pizzas, 8220;I have been missing all of it for long, My fitness and diet sessions have been very strict and I have followed them very obediently as I wanted to give in my hundred per cent,8221; says Jain who admits that beauty does not come easily and there is a lot of grinding to it.

He has always had a huge female following and he is immensely talented and known as one of UK8217;s major Asian talents. Jay Sean the British singer and songwriter from London, who started his career in 2003 with his first single Dance with you8212;Nachna Tere Naal with Juggy D and Rishi Rich 8220;It was a great experience working with both of them. They are immensely talented and know the music very well,8221; says Sean. His video Stolen featuring the Bong beauty Bipasha Basu sizzled the UK charts for many weeks.
Talking about Bollywood films and Indian music Sean says, 8220;I have grown up seeing Hindi films and I am very fond of them. I have always loved the melodious numbers from films like Saajan and Aashiqui and I specially like the title track of Aashiqui,8221; says Sean who has been nominated for two awards8212;best R038;B soul Act and Best UK Male Solo Act8212;for the Mobo Awards to be held in October this year, one of UK8217;s premier music awards. Sean was in the city for a show.
He is the winner of the 2008 UK Asian Music Awards for the best video and Best Urban Act for the song Ride It. 8220;When I was making the song I had gone to this club called Movida. That8217;s when I decided to shoot it. I liked the place so much that I also mentioned the name of the club in the lyrics of Ride It,8221; says Sean.
Sean has released two albums 8212; Me against myself and My Own Way8212; along with five top 20 hits in the UK Singles Chart. Best known for his hit numbers Stolen, Eyes On You and the latest Ride it, Sean is tipped to be the first British Asian to make the cross over into mainstream Rhythm and blues, music genre combining jazz, gospel, and blues influences. 8220;I have been doing R038;B for over six years now, but I enjoy other music forms too,8221; says the 25-year-old singer.
Talking about his trip to India he says, 8220;Although I was born and brought up in UK, I have always felt like a part of me is in India. I feel immensely proud to be a native Indian and I feel privileged to be associated to its name and to see people living here expecting so much from me. I8217;m very excited about this tour to India, especially places like Hyderabad where I haven8217;t been in a while. I look forward to meeting all my fans and friends here and playing some of my new music from my new album My Own Way and I also look forward to having fun here.8221;
