JALANDHAR, May 3: A couple and their 12-year-old grand-daughter were found murdered in their home, outside Ramgarh village, located on link road from Phillaur to Nurmahal via Akalpur, this afternoon.SSP Hardeep Singh Dhillon said Sohan Singh, 65, his wife Pritam Kaur, 55, and Kaki, their grand-daughter, were electrocuted sometime after Thursday, when couple's Kukkar village-based son-in-law Amrik Singh had visited them.The police officer said the crime was noticed this afternoon when Amrik Singh again visited his in-laws house this afternoon and found the house locked from inside. When he called the village elders and the house was opened, the decomposed bodies of the three victim were found dead, indicating they were possibly murdered on Friday.Dhillon, who visited the multiple murder site this afternoon alongwith officers, said it was a gruesome sight. The minor girl had been gagged and tied to a chair and electrocuted. An electric wire was also found lying on the ground, he added. The bodies of Sohan Singh and his wife were found on cots, covered with quilts and heavy bedding. The quilts and bedding were taken out of heavy trunks but that did not indicate that the house had been ransacked, he added.He said nauseating smell pervaded the room when they visited it.Dhillon said the police have got vital clues to the triple murder and were probing various leads. He did not rule out personal enmity.
