Taking forward the discussions between principal interlocutors Shyam Saran and Nicholas Burns in the civilian nuclear deal, a US team is landing here over the weekend for negotiations on the 123 bilateral agreements.
The team will be led by Richard Stratford, a director in the US State Department. On the table would be the issue of removing the clause on all cooperation to be stopped in case India tests a device. It may be recalled that this was inserted in the first draft but India objected to it and the same was conveyed by Saran to Burns in London.
