Naga leaders are likely to arrive here on January 8 for peace talks, Deputy PM L.K. Advani said today. ‘‘Date for the talks have not been finalised. They are likely to come on January 8,’’ he said.
The visit of NSCN(I-M) chairman Isak Chisi Swu and its general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah, who were expected here in December end, had been postponed till the first week of January because of ‘‘logistical reasons’’, including availability of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, official sources said.
Sources added that the two Naga leaders, who would be coming here from Europe, would be given Indian travel documents.
