MUMBAI, Sept 26: Residents of high-rise buildings in South Mumbai have a new saviour – Sherlock Guardian Security Limited (SGSL). Launched this week by a private security firm, it offers round the clock, centrally connected surveillance system backed by mobile patrolling (Sherlock Smart).

In collaboration with Guardian Alarm, USA, the security service specially caters to old citizens and children. Deepak Chopra, general manager (operations) of SGSL while demonstrating the system explained that the security system comes in two categories – wired configuration and wireless system. A market survey conducted in Cuffe Parade revealed that most of the 500-odd prospective clients prefer to go in for the wireless kind, although it is more expensive.

While the security system has already been launched in Colaba and Nariman Point, it will soon be launched in Cuffe Parade. The firm has its central office in Lower Parel.
