He’s asked for your vote on your cellphone and now, Prime Minister will appeal on your landlines as well. And of course, on television.

The BJP has put out a set of new personalised messages, both audio and visual, which will be flashed soon across land and mobile phones and cable networks.

Sources said yesterday, the Prime Minister spent over four hours recording messages for 146 party nominees whose constituencies will go to polls in the first phase. Each message mentions the name of the candidate and his or her constituency. The messages for other nominees will be recorded later. It is not clear, however, if the BJP will extend the favour for the candidates of its allies. Sources said CDs containing the Prime Minister’s messages will be provided to candidates so that they can use them in their

constituencies.
