The candidate Ram Bahadur contended in his petition that the entrance test for the Master of Mass Communication course was held on June 9, in which of the total 300 marks, 260 were for the written exam and 40 for the group discussion and interview.

He alleged that even though he topped the written examinations and was called for group discussion and interview, he was not selected as the selection committee which conducted the group discussion and interview, “adjusted” 40 marks in such a manner as to select candidates according to their choice.

The counsel for the petitioner stated that this was a case of grave injustice and discrimination against the petitioner.
