Nomura says quarterly profit fell 25.7%

Nomura, Japan’s biggest brokerage, said its net profit fell 25.7 per cent in the latest quarter due to a fall in retail commissions.

Nomura, Japan’s biggest brokerage, said its net profit fell 25.7 per cent in the latest quarter due to a fall in retail commissions. Nomura Holdings posted a net profit of 79.1 billion yen ($648.4 million) for October-December, down from 106.5 billion yen a year ago.
