Two senior Uttar Pradesh police officers have been transferred in the wake of the serious lapses in the investigation into the killing of a 15-year-old girl, studying in DPS Noida, in her house in Noida.District Additional Superintendent of Police Mahesh Kumar Mishra was on Saturday night shifted to the Special Task Force (STF), Allahabad while Station House Officer of Sector 20 Police Station here, D R Nanoria has been transferred to Saharanpur district.Additional SP Ashok Tripathy, currently with STF, Allahabad, will take charge of the post held by Mishra, Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police Brij Lal said in Lucknow. Nanoria, before being transferred to Saharanpur, had been sent to the police lines.The killing of a teenaged girl Aarushi Talwar had on Saturday taken a sensational turn with the recovery of the body of the prime suspect, the domestic help, from the terrace of the house, tell-tale evidence of the second murder which the police had ignored.Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh admitted to bungling on part of the Noida police which missed this crucial evidence. A special task force has been inducted into the investigations and it has begun its work, police officers involved in the probe said.Surprisingly, the body of Yam Prasad Banjade (45) alias Hemraj, a person of Nepali origin whom the police suspected as having stabbed Aarushi on Thursday, was found by a former police official K K Gautam on Saturday. Gautam had gone to the girl's house to offer condolence.The officers said they were talking to Aarushi's parents, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, both practising dentists, in a bid to get clues in connections with the murders.
