CHANDIGARH, May 26: Residents of Sector 42-C claimed today that they had not been supplied potable water for over the last 10 days, forcing them to fetch water from the adjoining sectors.

The worst affected are the people residing on first and second floors in the SBI colony as they do not get water even during supply hours in the morning. While talking to Chandigarh Newsline, former joint director of Public Relations Department, Haryana, S. Another resident of SBI Housing Complex, P. S. Gill, while criticising the Municipal Corporation for its failure in maintaining water supply, said: “I have never seen such water scarcity in summer season during my six years’ stay here”.

Meanwhile, assistant director, Punjab Health Education, has written to the Superintending Engineer, Public Health and Water Supply, regarding muddy water in Sector 18

.“During my 20-year stay here, I have never seen water which is not even fit for bathing,” he said.
