Reliance Infocomm Ltd (RIC) on Monday denied any share transactions with former Communication Minister Pramod Mahajan.

‘‘The fiction relating to the alleged ‘Mahajan link’ is nothing but one of the several attempts to achieve the hidden agenda of these forces,’’ RIC said here in a statement.

‘‘No politician or bureaucrat at any moment of time has held or holds any shares of RIC. This transaction has nothing to do with Pramod Mahajan and any insinuation to the contrary is totally mischievous and motivated,’’ Reliance Infocomm said.

The company said ‘‘for the last several weeks, a vicious propaganda campaign is being carried on against Reliance Infocomm Ltd.’’

The campaign has now been re-orchestrated with the sinister objective of misleading the decision-makers, government organisations and political parties.

The RJD’s key face and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Tejashwi Yadav, party supremo Lalu Yadav’s son, will again contest from his stronghold Raghopur.
