Kolkata Knight Riders are believed to be close to striking a deal with England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff for the next year’s edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but the franchisee chief executive denies the reports.“It’s a bit too early to speculate on next year’s deal,” Knight Riders CEO Joy Bhattacharya said.“We are waiting for the IPL committee to make the rules clear for the second edition — whether the $5 million cap remains or will be done away with,” he added. Reports from London, however, suggested that Shah Rukh had talked to Flintoff during his visit there last week.
