MUMBAI, DECEMBER 15: Mumbai cricket supporters suffered another bout of stress and tension at the MiG Club ground, Bandra on Wednesday. After raking up an impressive 332, Maharashtra had claimed six Gujarat wickets for 174 when stumps were drawn on the penultimte day of the three-day encounter.Earlier, resmuing at their overnight score of 201, Baroda added 10 more to their tally before being bowled out. Their medium-pacers Irfan Pathan (2-47), Yogendra Wakaskar (2-66) and Shekhar Joshi (3-57) then offset the opening wicket stand of 57 raised by Mumbai openers Hrishikesh Shende (29) and Manish Bangera (25) by claiming six wickets for the addition of 70 runs.At close, Mumbai were sitting pretty at227-9.At Parsee Gymkhana, Hem Joshipura (47: 110b, 145m, 7x4) and Kirat Damani (62: 128b, 161m, 11x4) had raised the Gujarat hopes during their 90-run stand. But once left-arm medim-pacer found a Joshipura's leading edge, the pendulum swung back in Maharashtra's favour.Earlier, the Maharashtra tail wagged merrily adding 77 runs to their overnight score of 255-6 before being bowled out.
