NGO offers free vocational training to needy youths

After serving the needy in education and through medical aid, Nikhil Singal Noble Trust, a non-governmental organisation, has now planned to give free vocational training to needy students.

V S Jindal, General Manager of the trust, said, “We have planned to impart free vocational training in computer operation, lab technician (pathology), lab technician (radiology), dress making, beauty treatment, motor mechanic, electrician, refrigerator and air-conditioning mechanic and car driving.”

The trust came into existence last year after the death of Nikhil Singal, a city youth, who died in the prime of his life.

The Ludhiana-based Eastman Impex Group launched a trust in his name. The trust provides education facilities and medical aid to deserving poor besides helping physically challenged and organising free medical camps.

Bharat Bhushan Goel, General Manager, Eastman Impex Group, said, “We have helped around 500 students and about 22 critical patients suffering from various diseases. We get referrals from institutions like Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Bhagwan Ram Charitable Hospital and extend need-based help to patients.”

The trust also assists various institutes like Braille Paper for Blinds in Vocational Rehabilitation Training Centre from time to time. If any youth is interested in pursuing any of the above mentioned courses, he/she may contact 0161-2425002-03 or visit nsnobletrust.org
