Anil Kumar Sharma, former Patna University Students Union president, was on Monday appointed new PCC president of Bihar replacing Sadanand Singh. Senior leader Vijay Shankar Dubey was made the chairman of the state Congress Campaign Committee. Five working presidents have also been appointed to assist Sharma. The Campaign Committee will have four convenors and a spokesperson along with more than 60 members. The list has several members from the upper castes, including Sharma, clearly indicating the Congress8217; plan to woo upper castes when the backward castes are divided among the JDU, the RJD, and others.
