‘New Bench fixed as per fixed norms’

The Supreme Court has fixed the Bench of Justices A.R. Lakshmanan and P.K. Balasubramanyan for hearing the PIL on the disproportionate assets case of UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and his family members as per the notified practice of the court, Registrar-General V.K. Jain has said.

‘‘As per notified practice of the SC (‘‘Subsequent Listings’’ (b)) of the practice and procedure of the court’’, Jain said if the presiding judge of the Bench, which had issued the notice, had retired then the same matter would be listed before the Bench of the second or third judge of the Bench.
