With King Gyanendra intensifying the crackdown in Nepal, some political leaders of the Himalayan kingdom have reached Delhi to muster support for their movement against the monarch.

At least two leaders of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Danbahadur Thapa and Budh Singh Nepali were here on Monday to meet political leaders to garner support, official sources said.

Among the leaders whom Thapa and Nepali met were those from Communist Party of India (Marxist), the sources said.

During the one-hour meeting at CPM headquarters, the CPN leaders are understood to have impressed upon the CPM to build pressure on King Gyanendra through the UPA government to lift emergency in Nepal, the sources said. —PTI
