NEW DELHI, June 12: Nehru Colts and Punjab and Sind Bank Academy fought to 1-1 draw in the Nehru Inter-Academy Hockey tournament at Shivaji Stadium here today.

Mandeep drew the first blood after he ably converted a penalty corner in the 31st minute for Nehru Colts. The side had earlier missed two successive penalty corners. Both the teams struggled to hold the fort and it was a see-saw battle thereafter.

In the second half, leading 1-0 at half-time, Nehru Colts found PSB boys too hot to handle. PSB, who had earlier missed four penalty corners in a row in the first half, made ammends for their early mistakes. In the 51st minute, Harminder Singh came with a brilliant move from right and netted the equaliser to deny Nehru boys a clean victory. Tomorrow, Steel Authority of India will clash with PSB Academy.
