Uttar Pradesh’s senior-most bureaucrat Neera Yadav, who is facing a CBI inquiry in the NOIDA plot allotment case, applied for voluntary retirement on Saturday.
Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office confirmed that the Mayawati government has accepted her request. Last week, the state IAS association passed a resolution removing Yadav from the post of chairperson. Yadav heads the state vigilance commission at present.
