DHANBAD, APRIL 9: The NDA would continue its agitation till Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, chargesheeted by CBI, resigned, NDA leader Nitish Kumar has said. The NDA would go on organising rallies till Rabri Devi stepped down gracefully from office, Kumar said on Saturday.

Lashing out at former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and Bihar Assembly Speaker Sadanand Singh for visiting Laloo Yadav in jail, Kumar told a public rally, "Deve Gowda could not save the chargesheeted husband and wife."

Rabri Devi had been charged of aiding and abetting in the amassment of assets by her husband RJD chief Laloo Yadav, disproportionate to his known sources of income during 1990-96. While the special CBI judge S K Lal granted bail to her, Yadav was remanded to jail custody.

Kumar said rallies would be organised in Sadanand Singh’s constituency to "expose his lust for power" before the electorate. Kumar said a meeting would be held in Patna on April 11, which would decide ways to end "Laloo-Rabri jungle rule."

Kumar expressed regret for ‘committing mistakes’ during distribution of seats in the assembly polls "which led to mass division" of votes. This helped RJD to capture more seats, he said and added "such a mistake won’t be repeated in future."

He further said NDA would not sit quietly in Bihar till separate statehood dreams were realised.

Union Minister of State for Forest and Development Babulal Marandi, JMM president Shibu Soren, senior state BJP leaders were also present at the rally.
