NEW DELHI, OCT 2: The 18th National Science Seminar for school students will be held at the National Science Centre in New Delhi on October 6. The topic for this year's seminar is ``50 Years of Science and Technology in Independent India - Aspirations and Achievement.''The National Science Centre, a constituent of National Council of Science Museums under Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Resource Development has been making efforts to make science education a fun experience.One of the most popular event that the Council has been organising for the last several years for school students apread across the length and breadth of the country has been the National Students Science Seminar.The seminar is held in every block, district and at the national level in which more than 50,000 students from 32 states and Union territories participated. One student from each state and Union territories along with a teacher escort will be invited to the seminar.The students selected for the nationalcontest at Delhi will be the guest of the Centre for three to four days, in which besides taking part in the seminar the students will be exposed to various other science and educational activities, including a face-to-face meet with renowned scientists of the country.
