Meanwhile, Karthikeyan finished fifth in the Snetterton Race in Norflok yesterday.

Karthikeyan managed a good start but in lap two, he was forced on to the grass by British driver, Mathew Davis. He was equal to the challenge and at the right moment made a stunning move at the Russel bend to leave Davis behind. He then chased Michael Bentwood and Takuma Sato.

Karthikeyan’s fierce pressure on Sato, resulted in the latter going into a big spin. Thus, Karthikeyan moved to the fifth spot by the tenth lap. He maintained the position till the end of the race.

In the overall positions, Karthikeyan, Stewart Racing, was placed in the fourth spot with 85 points.
