Speaking to his party functionaries today, TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu today declared that he would not be cowed down by Naxalite attacks.

In a video-conference on live TV, Naidu turned emotional while recalling the October 1 incident. Speaking to reporters later, he ruled out talks with Naxalites until they laid down arms. ‘‘There is no room for those who believe in achieving power through the gun,’’ he said.

Naidu skirted questions on the likelihood of advancing Assembly polls, scheduled for next yearend. ‘‘My priority is conducting Afro-Asian Games, tackling drought, providing relief to those affected by flash floods,’’ he said.
