My entry into this profession was quite a fluke. A friend appeared for an entrance exam for a course in glamour photography, and I too took it as a lark. He didn8217;t get through, I did. And I was into the profession! A lot of people tried to dissuade me, right from the usual parental view that it is not a serious profession to friends who thought one can only have fun!

But my first couple of assignments proved to me that the glamour world, which is my scene of work, is made up of very professional people, especially the ones at the top. They are creative, dedicated and trying their best to make a lot out of little. My belief that Pune would offer very little scope for my kind of work did not turn out to be entirely true. There are a lot of creative people here, trying to do their bit.

Right from day one, work has been a pleasure, as I have been fortunate to work with the right set of people. But it is important that you start out with the right lot of colleagues. Another realisation was that the big names one sees and hears 8211; Milind Soman, Arjun Rampal 8211; are actually very down-to-Earth people, no hangups at all. I8217;m glad to be here, and have no regrets about this profession that happened to me just like that!
