MUMBAI, MAY 3: The Santosh Kumar Ghosh Memorial under-14 tournament opened today with superb performances. Kandivili Cricket Club’s Arif Munsar almost single-handedly scripted victory for his side at the Fort Vijay ground, Azad Maidan, by first striking a fine 60 and then claiming a hat-trick. But his efforts went in vain as Esplanade Liberals overhauled the target losing eight wickets.

Sharing the day’s honours with Munsar was Devraj Raut who cracked an admirable 160 (16×4) in Aarey Cricket Club’s massive 263-run victory over Jolly Cricketers at Cross Maidan.

Other teams to make the second round were Kshatriya CC and Sassanian CC. While Kshatriya drubbed Sporting Union Club by 173 runs, Sassanians trounced Kurla Sports by 180 runs respectively.
